When designing large business offices and commercial spaces, creating a sense of welcoming appeal is a unique challenge. Can a vast, almost cavernous structure be redesigned into something more intimate and stylish? At Archant, we believe anything is possible through the transformative power of great design. Our large-format wall and floor porcelain tiles are an innovative solution that truly shines in expansive areas.
Take, for example, this project at Fanuc headquarters in Italy. Generously sized porcelain tiles have been applied to the walls and floors with brilliant success. When used in this fashion, the porcelain slabs become an integral part of the space. Not only does it stand apart as a world-class decorative surface but offers the kind of long-lasting durability that commercial offices require.
This style is called Rawtech, Raw Dust Matte. It was inspired by the popular look of concrete. The neutral palette of the slab lends itself to a serene environment for the business to build upon. The intricate nuance of the pattern creates visual depth and personality that many corporate settings lack.
This level of refined detail has the potential to boost morale and foster a positive atmosphere. It’s here that the sometimes-unseen benefits of great design are revealed. When applied to walls and floors, the workspace becomes so much more than a place of business, but an inviting area to collaborate and accomplish team goals.
