To craft a commercial space that’s both memorable and inviting, the interior needs to go beyond the routine design solutions found everywhere else. It was this thoughtful approach that helped to shape the innovative renovations for the Beirut Café. This isn’t just any ordinary establishment, but an integral part of the historic Östermalms Saluhall marketplace in Stockholm, Sweden.
Upon entering the café, our Wovenpanel® Clement wire mesh infuses the space with a vibrant appeal. The warm tones of the brass finish enhance the interior in a variety of applications. From the stylish dividing screens to the innovative shelving and counters, the atmosphere is elevated with distinct sophistication. As guests continue to walk through the space, it’s impossible to miss the intricate ceiling adorned with wire mesh panels. This brilliant installation brings a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘decorative surface’.
Utilising the texture and shimmer of our wire mesh, rich layers of visual depth have been created to foster a welcoming vibe. With the dual-toned thin double wire and flat weave, the Clement Wovenpanel® adds a dynamic circular aesthetic. The curves and natural shapes of the intertwined panel introduce an organic sense of flowing motion.
For an additional enhancement, a second style of mesh called Staten was used in a gorgeous wall application. It features a zigzag pattern for a geometric effect. When viewed from varying angles and in different lighting, the visual effect is ever changing.
It’s these types of thoughtful design details paired with their extensive menu that has made the Beirut Café an unforgettable stop in the heart of Stockholm.
