When you have expansive views of nature just outside your kitchen, the approach to interior design must change. Instead of trying to hold the viewer’s eye indoors, you want it to flow throughout the room, and into the lush greenery of the nearby hills.
In this spectacular space, there was little need for bold and dramatic interior applications but rather understated neutral tones. Add to this the organic veining pattern of Marble Statuario, and the space truly comes to life. Natural light reflects off the high gloss porcelain finish to infuse the kitchen with the ever-changing colours of the sky.
It’s an inspiring environment to cook and entertain without feeling dark or closed off. Absent of busy patterns, one can simply bask in the timeless nature of the setting.
The cabinetry is further accentuated by subtle but intentional additions of contrast with matt black hardware. These slim Anzio handles are the perfect blend of classic styling with a nod to the slender modern designs made popular in recent years. The rectangular shape of the handle echoes the same lines of the splashback tiles.
While symmetry is used beautifully here, there’s ample space for creative pursuits with the large island in Marble Statuario and benchtop in Colour White, both in 12mm thickness of porcelain. And while the overall aesthetic is luxurious, there is a welcoming vibe that makes it feel approachable. It’s a kitchen that invites you to spend a few minutes, slow down, and be at one with the surroundings.
