Warranties are supposed to offer customers peace of mind for their investments. This sounds good in theory, but what does it mean in practice? Put simply, you want to know how well your porcelain surface will be protected, and what’s involved with maintaining it.

What’s the Warranty Duration for Archant Porcelain?
Archant provides a lifetime warranty to the original owners of our porcelain surfaces which covers manufacturing defects. The generous duration of this guarantee should be the first indication of porcelain’s ability to last for the foreseeable future.
The warranty shall apply only where a product is properly fabricated by approved fabricators. This ensures it will be done correctly by experts in the field of porcelain design.
How Does this Compare with Other Stone Alternatives?
In researching other natural stone alternatives, and engineered stone, you’ll find warranties that typically range from 5-15 years. *Disclaimer: This can vary depending on who your supplier is, and where you live. In general though, it’s rare to find a warranty that comes close to the lifetime duration of the Archant Porcelain guarantee.
What Does the Warranty Cover?
We guarantee that our Archant Porcelain product will be free from manufacturing defects for a period of the lifetime of the original owner. Although the product is carefully inspected before shipping and delivery, we encourage the owner to also inspect the product thoroughly upon its receipt.
It’s recommended that the homeowner also does a final inspection and approval of the installation to make sure every detail is exactly to their satisfaction.
The product should only be used for its intended purpose and maintained by following the provided Archant care and maintenance instructions. These are noted below for your convenience as well. All warranty claims must be received by Archant within 28 days of discovery of a manufacturing fault.
Is There Anything This Warranty Doesn't Cover?
Any damage to the product thereafter is the responsibility of the owner. As such, it doesn’t apply to damage due to mishandling, structural movement, abnormal use, misuse, chemicals, or exposure to direct or sustained heat, cold (thermal shock), exposure to chemicals, force, abnormal pressure applied by a person or object. It also does not apply to improper, insufficient, or poorly designed support, cabinets, structures, substrate or sub-floors for bench tops, vertical surfaces, or floor tiles.
The warranty doesn’t cover the quality of installation or damage caused by the installer or fabricator. Installation or fabrication issues must be resolved directly with the point of purchase and are the sole responsibility of the owner. It does not cover transportation, freight, removal, disposal and re-installation, fabrication, or associated costs beyond the price of the material.
Do I Need to Register the Warranty?
Yes, your warranty is valid after online registration within 60 days of purchase. This can be completed here for your convenience. It should be noted that the warranty will be null and void unless the product has been paid for in full.
The Warranty Does Not Cost Extra

How to Properly Clean and Maintain Your Porcelain Surface
Now that you have a better understanding of our lifetime warranty, we thought it would be helpful to explain how to best maintain your surface.
Daily maintenance should consist of wiping your benchtop surface with a soft sponge or cloth and warm soapy water (mild detergent). Before using any cleaning product, check that it does not contain trichloroethane, methylene chloride or high levels of alkaline/pH. If your bench top is exposed to any of these damaging products, rinse immediately with water to neutralize the chemicals.
Avoid cleaning the bench top with products containing bleach or with a high basic pH level as they may create whitish streaks. Other products that may mark the surface are industrial solvents, hydrochloric acid, caustic soda, and varnish solvents. Grease-removal detergents for the kitchen may be used but once the stain has been removed, the area must be rinsed thoroughly with water.
Archant Porcelain does not absorb liquids as they are non-porous. They also do not allow the proliferation of bacteria. Porcelain products are resistant to stains and wear and tear, scores, scratches, and light bangs.
Be aware, that the worktops should never be overloaded with weights exceeding 50kg (do not stand or sit on the benchtop) and make sure blunt objects do not fall on it (knives, bottles, saucepans, working tools, etc) which, owing to their shape, may cause cracks that are difficult, if not, impossible to repair. Also note, that while heat resistant, prolonged direct contact with high heat could cause damage.
